At the heart of it all…

Business is booming in Woking with a host of international businesses relocating to the Borough or expanding their existing headquarters.

Economic Development

Thanks to a winning combination of excellent rail links to London and the South West, its proximity to both Heathrow and Gatwick airports and a highly trained local workforce, the Borough is already the home of Formula 1 racing giants, McLaren, computer services and software company Cap Gemini Ernst and Young; communications giants Telewest; Royal Blue and The Ambassadors Theatre Group. A myriad of diverse smaller businesses are also located within the Borough. Two covered shopping malls, the Peacocks and Wolsey Place host a good selection of high street stores plus a number of attractive eateries while, for an evening meal, there are a number of restaurants to choose from including French, Thai, Italian and Indian.
